Eliazar “Alex” Garza is a versatile tattoo artist whose creative journey is rooted in decades of hands-on artistry, discipline, and life experience. A graduate of Nampa High School (Class of 1991), Alex’s path has been anything but conventional. From martial arts studio ownership to over 30 years as a goldsmith, he developed a deep precision and attention to detail that now translates seamlessly into his tattoo work. His background also spans holistic and physical wellness. Alex is Reiki certified, worked as a physical therapist in a chiropractic clinic, and served as an ACE-certified personal trainer at the YMCA. He also spent 16 years as a dedicated stay-at-home father, raising his two daughters. Driven by creativity, Alex expanded into photography, attended Paul Mitchell, and even worked behind the bar at Dave’s Firehouse in Nampa, Idaho. In 2016, he completed his first tattoo—an experience that sparked a new artistic direction. Today, Alex tattoos at Not Your Average Tattoo Shop and operates under his personal brand, 208 Ink Therapy. His style is diverse and expressive, including minimalist designs, blackwork, silhouettes, cyber sigilism, new school, sketch style, negative space, fine art, clean linework, cartoon-inspired pieces, and religious tattoos. With a lifetime of discipline and artistic growth behind him, Alex creates tattoos that are not only visually striking, but deeply meaningful.
